Went off line for a bit, which means I've been running the roads again. Right before leaving for NYC in January I spent some time back in Mississippi.
It was wonderful returning after nearly a year away. I stayed through Christmas week in the town of Mound Bayou, MS,
sleeping at the home of my chess playing buddy, Rev. Earl Hall, the preacher of the town's Baptist Church.
Having began 2010 riding shotgun on the hell bound bus of the traveling sideshow, Hellzapoppin, closing out 2010 in Mississippi
was just what the soul needed to cool down and regain a bit of balance in the old noggin.

Went home to Beaumont, TX, for Thanksgiving to be greeted by my granparents new miniature horse named Squirt. So far, he's bucked
off my niece, kicked a cousin in the mouth, and bit my grandfather.
Felt good to be home again after several months since my last visit. Even picked up a few project ideas outside of animal photography.

Just received a PDF for a story I did over the summer for FOCUS Magazine about Dr. Gregg Veneklasen and his
veterinary clinic in Canyon, TX, where he clones horses! It's a fascinating facility ran by an all around great guy.
He gathers healthy mares that are scheduled for slaughter and uses them as host mothers for the cloned embryos
of all sorts of horses, from bucking horses to race horses. Aside from cloning horses for his clients, he hopes his work
will help to further our understanding and treatment of genetic diseases. He wears a different Hawaiian shirt everyday.

Wow, Wales. You kow I simply had no idea how beautiful this hidden jewel would be.
My fellow MJR member, Gareth, and two of his friends Farr, and Dresser, did a four day expedition around north Wales.
We climbed mountains, drank wine, camped, climbed trees at 3am - after probably too much of that wine - built fires,
opened cans of vegetables with a gardening spade since we forgot a can opener, etc...
General guy stuff that regretably I seldom get to do...
